Help Feed Hungry Kids

As Blake witnessed the health movement he helped create become a catalyst to thousands of people across the country creating and achieving their own body transformations, he and his partners began to ask themselves how they could harness the passion and power of the growing community to make an even larger impact. This gave birth to a new Community Challenge with a goal to help feed kids in need in local markets all across the nation.

• Today, more than 15 million poor American children face immediate and life-long risk to health, growth, and school achievement.
• One in eight Americans struggles with the reality of hunger and food insecurity. An estimated 36.2 million Americans, or 12.2 % are food insecure; meaning their access to enough food is limited by a lack of money and other resources.
• The estimated number of people in poverty increased by 1.1 million to 39.1 million in 2008.
• 15 percent of all families with related children under 18 years of age live in poverty.
• Emergency food assistance plays a vital role in the lives of low-income families.
